NOVAZOON as a driver of innovations in the health tech sector – cooperation with Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences with a scientific thesis for wearables
As part of the lecture “Industrial Concept Development” at the MMT faculty of Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, mechatronics students Leonard Rempel and Mario Stolz worked on a scientific paper in the “Health Tech” area.
A digital health platform that connects various data sources to generate new medical insights will help patients with the healing process and reduce the burden on the facility. This involves transferring acquired data and applying further processing using AI.
The focus of the work was on working out how to connect various wearables such as smartwatches, chest straps or medical devices such as blood pressure monitors, as well as concrete possible solutions for connecting the selected data.
An evaluation matrix developed by the students as well as a utility analysis formed the basis for the scientific elaboration of the work.
The consideration of data protection as well as a compiled list of requirements were elaborated and presented in detail.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Leonard Rempel and Mario Stolz for preparing the scientific paper. Another thank you goes to Prof. Simon as well as Mr. Ewert from the University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe, who accompanied the scientific work. Thanks also to Tobias Blattner, Marcel Dietz and Florian Balb, who were contact persons for the students on behalf of NOVAZOON.
Exciting results and an excellent elaboration of the work – THANK YOU to all involved!
